Jimmy Boyette Berger, born January 7, 1953 in Pensacola, FL passed away Saturday, September 30, 2023 at Providence Hospital. He was a resident of the Horseneck Community. He was a retired seismograph technician and owned his own small business. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army National Guard. Jimmy loved Alabama football and the New Orleans Saints. He was an avid football fan, a kind and generous man, and a friend to many.

He is survived by his brother, Clyde Hillary “Pete” (Susan) Burger; nieces, Tammy Burger, Amanda Holland, Leigh Anne Garza and April Reid; nephews, Chris Burger, Robby Burger, Bryan Burger and Anthony Burroughs and a number of great nieces, nephews and a host of cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Gilbert Boyette Berger; his mother, Alice Lousie Reid; brothers, Charles Richard “Ricky” Berger, Kenneth Berger, Ronnie Berger and Bobby Joe Berger; sisters, Mary Virginia Cormier and Cathy Delores Reid Mitchem and longtime companion, Kay Taylor and a niece, Rebecca Lousie Ayers.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 4, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at the chapel of Norris Funeral Home with Reverend Jimmy Dubose and Sister Lena Dubose officiating.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, October 3, 2023 from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Norris Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Robby Burger, Bryan Burger, Ricky Burger, Joey Clinton, Hunter Clinton and R.J. Burger. Honorary pallbearers will be Chris Burger, Jay Garza and Terry Philyaw.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made to Faith Outreach of Miracles Church, 44470 Highway 112, Bay Minette, AL 36507.
