Jerry Earl Smith

Jerry Earl Smith, age 81, born in Mobile, AL and a resident of Perdido Beach, AL died Thursday, July 24, 2025 at Sacred Heart Hospital. He was the co-owner of Smith’s Sporting Goods for 32 years.

He is survived by his wife, Hongping Wang Smith of Perdido Beach, AL; his children, Bruce (Isabel) Smith of Pensacola, FL, Jeff (Deborah) Smith of Daphne, AL, Philip (Courtney) Smith of League City, TX and Junyuan Liv of Wuxi City and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl M. and Faye Merle White Smith; his wife, Sarah Jacobson Smith and two brothers, Frank Smith and Tim Smith.

Funeral services will be held Monday, July 28, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at the chapel of Norris Funeral Home with Reverend Stuart Davidson officiating.

The family will receive friends Monday, July 28, 2025 from 10:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. service at Norris Funeral Home.
