Jerry Lamar King, age 65, born in Atmore, AL and a resident of Bay Minette, AL died Monday, March 16, 2026 at SAAD Hospice. He was a tugboat engineer for Florida Marine Transport.
He is survived by his children, Joseph C. (Hollie) Gilbreath of Bay Minette, AL and Jeri Lynn Weaver of Bay Minette, AL; two brothers, James King of Lottie and Harvey King of Blountstown, FL; four sisters, Shelia (Denny) Paul of Lottie, Ruby Morrow of Atmore, AL, Jewel Singleton of Atmore, AL and Jean Stacey of Rabun; grandchildren, Kristen (Chris) Gilbreath, Katelyn (Jesse) White, Addison Weaver, Aubry Weaver and Austin Weaver; great grandchildren, Isabella Rose White, Oliver White, Khristopher Jones and Kobe Jones and his faithful companion, Spike.
He was preceded in death by his father, William Thomas King and his mother, Carol Mistead; one brother and three sisters.
Graveside services and burial will be held Thursday, March 19, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. at Bay Minette Cemetery with Dr. Chip Starnes officiating.
The family will receive friends Thursday, March 19, 2026 from 12:30 p.m. until 1:30 p.m. at Norris Funeral Home.
