Jeremy Cale Obituary

Jeremy Christopher Cale of Daphne, AL passed away on January 13, 2023.

Jeremy was born in Mobile, AL on February 1, 1979 as the 5th and final sibling to the Lindsey/Cale family. Growing up surrounded by his siblings, friends, and family, he was “everyone’s little brother”. Affectionately deemed Baba Louie by his sisters, he was the sidekick to all their adventures. He was always kind and helpful, easy going, and quick with a smile. He grew up playing sports and spent his high school years playing as a linebacker for the BCHS Tigers wearing his lucky number 37. While playing football, he was given the nickname Boom Boom Jeremy by his niece Lennon, which would follow him throughout the rest of his life. Jeremy was always down for a family barbeque where stories and cold beer were readily shared.

Jeremy spent the last 9 years working as a maintenance technician for USA Health University Hospital in Mobile, AL. He was known to be willing and happy to help out the hospital staff and patients no matter how simple or complex the task was. He thoroughly enjoyed working with his hands and brought his tinkering skills home. He spent his free time working on a 2007 Ford Mustang, building furniture, and teaching his sister how to clean an A/C drain when it clogs. He never failed to have a quick fix for any problem you could run into around the house.

Jeremy loved music and was known to blast one song repeatedly until everyone in the house discovered their new LEAST favorite song. One of his favorite past times was going on drives around Baldwin County with his daughter Paiton jamming to all his favorite songs. Paiton will tell anyone who will listen how much fun he had singing to music with funny impressions and freestyling his own lyrics.

Jeremy was preceded in death by his daughter Paris Isabella Cale, and father Arils Robert Cale Sr.

Jeremy is survived by his daughter Paiton Reese Cale; his mother Leona Cale; sisters Bessie Lindsey (Joe), and Christine Kirby (Michael); brothers Robby Cale and Marcus Cale; Grandmother Janet L. Bell; and numerous family members and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Norris Funeral Home in Bay Minette, Alabama on Saturday, January 21st, 2023 from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, please feel free to donate to The Ronald McDonald House or The MakeAWish Foundation. Jeremy’s family was greatly impacted by these two organizations throughout his life while raising his daughters Paiton and Paris.
