Jeffrey Michael Owens, age 40, a native and resident of Bay Minette, AL died Tuesday, November 19, 2024. He was a beloved son and brother. Jeff was well known for his out-going and friendly personality. He had a sense of humor that was appreciated by all, always making the ones surrounding him laugh. He was a proud veteran of the U.S. Coast Guard, serving from 2003-2007. He was very clever and an avid reader with special interest in world history. He was also an animal lover who would take in any cat of dog in need.
He is survived by his father, John (Carmen) Owens; siblings, Amber Owens, Hallie (PJ) Leyh, Ryan (Hayley) Owens, Jasmine (Taylor) Dicker, Adam (Karina) Evain, Kayleigh (Marshall) Godwin and a number of nieces and nephews, Jennah, Dana Mae, Charlotte, Makenzi, Maddox, Everly and Avi.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Dana Hurst Evain and his grandparents, William “Billy" and Kathryn Owens and Francis Thompson.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, November 26, 2024 at 9:30 a.m. at the chapel of Norris Funeral Home with Jimmy Franklin officiating. Burial will follow at the Alabama State Veterans Cemetery in Spanish Fort at 11:00 a.m.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, November 26, 2024 from 8:30 a.m. until the 9:30 a.m. service at Norris Funeral Home.
While Jeff left us too soon, the impact he had on family and friends will last a lifetime.
