Jean Coleman, age 88, born in Rabun and a resident of Pensacola, FL died Thursday, November 13, 2025 at Sacred Heart. She retired from Pensacola Naval Air Station after 33 years as an operation controller.
She is survived by her children, Rene Coleman (Larry) Claxton of Cantonment, FL and Stanley “Stan” Maynard (Susan) Coleman of Pensacola, FL; two brothers, Elmer (Shelvia) Stewart of Mobile, AL and Glen (Sylvia) Stewart of Stapleton, AL; two sisters, Maxine Lindsey of Foley, AL and Yvonne (Charles) Niblack of Theodore, AL; two grandchildren, Blake Coleman and Chase Coleman and two great grandchildren, Olivia Coleman and Hudson Coleman.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lemmie Maynard Coleman and siblings, Edgar Stewart, Melvin Stewart and Edith Hill.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, November 20, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Pine Grove Freewill Baptist Church with Brother Ross Presley officiating. Burial will follow at Pine grove Freewill Baptist Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, November 19, 2025 from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Norris Funeral Home.
