Janice Woolf Hendrickson, age 81, born in Selma, AL, and a resident of Bay Minette, AL, died Wednesday, June 25, 2025, at her residence. She was a retired juvenile probation officer for Baldwin County. Janice graduated from Huntingdon College in 1965, and was presented the Alumni Achievement Award in 2010. She carried the friendships she made during her college years throughout her life.
She is survived by her children, Holmes (Kim) Hendrickson of Dothan, AL and Ev Hendrickson Gunn of Birmingham, AL, and three grandchildren, Maggie Gunn of Austin, TX, Rob Gunn of Birmingham, AL, and Ashby Hendrickson of Dothan, AL.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Joseph Lloyd Hendrickson.
There will be a gathering at the First Methodist Church Fellowship Hall in Bay Minette on Sunday, June 29, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. where family and friends are invited to gather and share memories and two of Janice’s favorite things-a bottled coke and dessert. The funeral will be held at Campground Methodist Church in Myrtlewood, Alabama, on Monday, June 30, 2025, at 2:00 p.m.
The family would like to give special thanks to Rose Gatrey and the Gatrey family, Althea McReynolds, and Elizabeth Chisholm. Their wonderful care and support allowed Janice to remain in her home until her death.
