Jane Ann Lane, age 85 of Fort Walton Beach, FL passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving children at 11: 30 am on Friday September 13, 2024.
To Honor Jane’s life, family and friends may visit from 9:30 am – 10.30 am on Monday September 23, 2024 at Behr Funeral Home, 1491 Main Street in Dubuque. Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 am on Monday at Behrs. Burial immediately followed at Mount Olivet Cemetery.
Jane was born on February 28, 1939, in Dubuque, IA. Daughter of Leroy and Lucille Hantelmann.
Jane attended school in Dubuque and graduated from St. Joseph Academy in 1957.
Jane worked for many years at the Lancôme counter of Dillard’s Department store where she made many friends over the years. Her favorite job of all was that of mom, grandma, and great grandma. Jane loved to dance, bowl, go to the beach, and take long walks outdoors.
Left on to cherish Janes memory include her three children, Susan (Art) Hicks, Bay Minette, AL, Diana (Earl) Weissert, Nashville, TN and Steven (Stephanie) Miller, Little Rock, AR; six grandchildren, Cassie (Chris) Woodham, Josh Franklin, Sarah Weissert, Nathan Weissert, Tyler Weissert and Brandi Miller; five great grandchildren. Selina, James, Noah, Jack, and Clarie; her siblings, Roger Hantelmann, Dubuque, IA, Sandra Macey, Ft Walton Beach, FL, Kay Konrady, Dubuque, IA and Barb (Don) Leik, Dubuque, IA and numerous many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Jane was preceded in death by her parents; stepmother Mary Hantelmann; brother Russell Hantelmann; her first husband and father of her children, Larry Miller and her second husband Morton Lane.
