James Sullivan Watford, age 87, born in Huxford, AL and a resident of Crossroads died Saturday, February 29, 2020 at Thomas Hospital. He retired from the sipping department at Chemstrand, now Monsanto Chemical Company. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served during Korea.
He is survived by one daughter, Rhonda Watford (Johnny) Little of Crossroads; seven grandchildren, Jamie Bazzel, Jonathan Little, Nolan Little, Jessica Little, Steve Malden, Cassandra Malden and Cole Malden; seven great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Sylvia Chrystene Watford; great grandson, Peyton Little; a daughter, Ramona Watford; granddaughter, Christy Tate and a son, James Malden.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 4, 2020 at 12:00 p.m. at the chapel of Norris Funeral Home with Dr. Henry Cox officiating. Burial will be private.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, March 4, 2020 from11:00 a.m. until the 12:00 p.m. service at Norris Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Nolan Little, Jonathan Little, Steve Malden, Jerry Bazzel, Joel Kobitz and Cole Malden.
