James Edward Thomas, Jr., age 83, born in Bradley, AL and a resident of Bay Minette, AL died Tuesday, October 12, 2021 at Providence Hospital. He was a retired truck driver for Transwood, Inc. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served during Korean Era.
He is survived by his children, Christina Thomas (Dana) Stacey of Bay Minette, AL and James Edward Halzak Thomas of Mobile, AL; grandchildren, Brandon Boatwright, Bo Boatwright, Kassi Archer, Cameron Archer and Charlie Stacey and a great grandson, Denver James Brand.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Tammy Lynn Smith; his wife, Marlene A. Thomas; a son, Charles Anthony Smith; his parents, James Edward Thomas, Sr. and Augusta Cotton Thomas; four brothers and two sisters.
Graveside services and burial will be held Monday, October 18, 2021 at 12:30 p.m. at the Alabama State Veterans Cemetery with Reverend Terry Blair officiating.
Pallbearers will be Camron Archer, D’Wayne Stacey, Javier Olade Deanda and Dante Zarella.
