James Johnson Obituary

James Robert Johnson, age 71, born in Bay Minette, AL and a resident of the Crossroads Community died Saturday, April 2, 2022 at his residence. He was a retired machine operator after 30 years at Scott Paper Company. He was a retired veteran of the Alabama National Guard with 23 years of service.

He is survived by his wife, Anna Marie Averitt Johnson of Crossroads and three sisters, Norma Eubanks, Denise Lee and Connie Graham.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 7, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at the Crossroads Church of God with Reverend Richie Nobels officiating. Burial will follow at Alabama State Veterans Cemetery at 12:30 p.m.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, April 6, 2022 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Crossroads Church of God.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made to the Baldwin County High School Men’s Golf, 1 Tiger Drive, Bay Minette, AL 36507 or to the Crossroads Church of God Building Fund, 10777 County Road 138, Bay Minette, AL 36507.

Pallbearers will be Ricky Lee, Tucker Morris, Matt Monday, Randall Hubard, Justin Graham and Tommy Geeck.
