James Raymond "Ray" McDonald

James Raymond “Ray” McDonald, age 68, a native and resident of Bay Minette, AL died Saturday, September 4, 2021 at his residence. He was a retired mechanic for the Mobile Press Register.

He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Carman Powell McDonald of Bay Minette, AL; his mother, Ruby Little McDonald; his children, Tammy (Johnny) Davis of White House Fork and Thomas “Pnut” Cooper of Rabun; stepchildren, Jason (Annesia) Miller of Mobile, AL and Julie Miller of Bay Minette, AL; two brothers, Rickey McDonald pf Bay Minette, AL and Alan McDonald of Crossroads; one sister, Bobbie Jean McMillan of Crossroads; four grandchildren, Hali Hadley, Shana Hall, Mercedes Morris and Austin Hadley and six great grandchildren, Chloe Hadley, Conner Hadley, Cambryn Joiner, Cadyn Joiner , Madison Morris and Dawson Morris.

He was preceded in death by his father, James W. McDonald.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, September 9, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at the chapel of Norris Funeral Home with Reverend Otis Thames officiating. Burial will follow at Stockton Memorial Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Thursday, September 9, 2021 from 11:00 a.m. until the 1:00 p.m. service at Norris Funeral Home.
