James Everette “Jim” Martin, age 85, born in Brewton, AL ad a resident of the Pine Grove Community died Monday, February 12, 2024 at his residence. He was a retired lever man for Great Lakes Dredging.
He is survived by his children, Steve (Janet) Caraway of Pine Grove, Sandi (Chuck) Peak of Pine Grove and Stacy (Chris) Hadley of Daphne, AL; his grandchildren, Ross Caraway, Stephanie Caraway, Jameson Peak, Collin Peak, Audrey Peak and Kaitlyn Hadley and great granddaughter, Brelynn.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Dot Martin, his parents and his siblings.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 17, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at the chapel of Norris Funeral Home with Reverend George Blais, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Saturday, February 17, 2024 from 9:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. service at Norris Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Jeremy Howell, Joseph Ferguson, Rob Taylor, Bill Weekley, Levi Plato and Chris Elliott. Honorary pallbearers will be Jimmy Cotten and O’Neal Hadley.
