James Milford Homan

James Milford Homan, age 95, born in Fayette, AL and a resident of Bay Minette, AL died Tuesday, November 5, 2024 at his residence. He was a retired logger.

He is survived by his children, Darrell Milford (Wanda) Homan of Stapleton, AL, Jerry Wayne (Sharon) Homan of Rabun and Sharron Dianne (Billy) Powell of Bay Minette, AL; ten grandchildren, Denise Gordon, Sonia Phillips, Amy Grote, Ken Homan, Jeffrey Homan, Chris Homan, Jennifer Welch, Tara Duncan, Erica Coleman and Melissa Jordan; twenty-three great grandchildren and twelve great great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Alta Jewel Homan.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 9, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at the chapel of Norris Funeral Home with Reverend Chester Clark officiating. Burial will follow at Bay Minette Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Saturday, November 9, 2024 from 9:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. service at Norris Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Chris Homan, Ken Homan, Jeffrey Homan, Chris Coleman, Charles Duncan and Ken Phillips. Alternate pallbearers will be Chris Welch and Duane Homan.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made to St. Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
