James Darrington "Jimmy" Hollingsworth

James Darrington “Jimmy” Hollingsworth, age 77, a native and resident of the Dyas Community died Wednesday, February 24, 2021 at his residence. He was a carpenter for Dobbins Homes.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Lois Hollingsworth; one son, Ricky Hollingsworth; one brother, Ray Hollingsworth; two sisters, Joann (Buddy) Byrd and Janet (Steve) Caraway; three grandchildren, Billy Hollingsworth, Damon Hollingsworth and Katon Hollingsworth and two great grandchildren, Darren Hollingsworth and Kanen Shaw.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James Wesley and Allean Bea Stewart Hollingsworth; a brother, George Hollingsworth and a sister, Jean Diedtrich.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, February 28, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at the chapel of Norris Funeral Home with Reverend Windell Hadley officiating. Burial will follow at Bay Minette Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Sunday, February 28, 2021 from 12:00 p.m. until the 2:00 p.m. service at Norris Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Tim McCullough, Phillip McCullough, Brian Hollingsworth, Bart Hollingsworth, Sonny Dobbins and Bubba Engrim.
