Jackie Lane Glasgow

Jackie Lane Glasgow, age 69, born in Vernon, AL and a resident of Bay Minette, AL died Wednesday, July 31, 2019 at his residence. He retired from the State Highway Department after 40 years as an Engineer.

He is survived by his wife, Clarice Elizabeth Harbison Glasgow of Bay Minette, AL; his children, Sonja (Michael) Minchew of Bay Minette, AL, Jennifer Glasgow of Norcross, GA and Beth (Brian) Aaron of Bay Minette, AL; his siblings, Evelyn Bevis of Jasper, AL, Edgilee Bobo of Vernon, AL, William “Junior” Glasgow of Milbrook, AL, Danny ray Glasgow of Jasper, AL, Brenda Estes of Birmingham, AL, James “Edward” Glasgow of Bay Minette, AL, Mackie Glasgow of Jasper, AL and Janice Salters of Birmingham, AL; grandchildren, Dalton Minchew, Joshua Minchew, Grayson Aaron and Anna Beth Aaron.

He was preceded in death by siblings, Jewel Lucas, Jean Gosa, Linda Dean Garrison, Sherman Glasgow and Mary Helen Glasgow.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 3, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at New Life Baptist Church with Reverend Otis Thames, Reverend John Montalvo and Reverend Richard Paul officiating. Burial will follow at New Life Baptist Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Friday, August 2, 2019 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at New Life Baptist Church.

Pallbearers will be Brian Aaron, Michael Minchew, Dalton Minchew, Joshua Minchew, Ronnie Richerson and Arnold Thomaston. Honorary pallbearers will be Wilson Palmer, Grayson Aaron, Danny Ray Glasgow, Edward Glasgow, Mackie Glasgow and Junior Glasgow.

Although the family will accept flowers, they suggest memorial contributions be made to Alzheimer’s Foundation of the South, P.O. Box 9693, Mobile, AL 36691 or to New Life Baptist Church Building Fund, 49535 Rabun Road, Bay Minette, AL 36507.
