Jack Glenn Lane, age 85, born in Huxford, AL and a resident of Rabun left his earthly home in the morning hours of January 6, 2025 to join his wife, Josephine “Jo” Smith Lane, his parents, Clifford and Bessie Beasley Lane and his ten siblings, Harold, Melvin, James, Ray Clinton, Bill, Charles, Wayne, Joyce Davis, Shirley Conway and Lois Summerlin in Heaven.
Jack shared a love for Alabama Football and New York Yankees Baseball with this nephew, Joe (Angela) Lane. He was a member of the Stockton First Baptist Church in Stockton, AL and previously a member and Sunday School Superintendent at Faith Chapel Assembly of God in Milton, FL.
He is survived by his children, Teresa Lane (Mark C.) Gibbs of Rabun and Jack C. “Cliff” Lane of Tecumseh, NE; four stepchildren, John (Robin) Dennis of Risen, AR, David (Lisa) Dennis of Lamar, AR, Vickey Edge-Correa of New York, NY and Sherry Dennis of Milton, FL; grandchildren, Kristen (Adam) Callan of Daphne, AL and Zackary Gibbs of Bay Minette, AL; five great grandchildren, Hayes Cook, Harper Cook, Bentley Day, Connor Callan and Piper Callan and five step grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 9, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. at the chapel of Norris Funeral Home with Reverend Otis Thames officiating. Burial will follow at Hickory Hammock Cemetery in Milton, FL.
The family will receive friends Thursday, January 9, 2025 from 11:30 a.m. until the 1:00 p.m. service at Norris Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Zack Gibbs, Joe Lane, Hayes Cook, Charles “Eddie” Lane, Rick Evers and David Dennis.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made to the Stockton First Baptist Church Building Fund, 52700 State Highway 59, Stockton, AL 36579.
