Heustis Avritt, Jr.

Heustis Avritt, Jr., age 64, born in Atmore, AL and a resident of Bay Minette, AL died Friday, December 19, 2025 at his residence. He was a retired heavy equipment operator for Cunningham-DeLaney Construction.

He is survived by his wife, Janis Irvin Avritt of Bay Minette, AL; his children, Jessica (Phillip) Jackson of Jasper, AL, Julie (Cal Barber) Avritt of Cumming, GA, Wesley Soper of Toxey, AL and Jeff Powell of Raton, NM; one brother, Michael Avritt of Fairhope, AL; three sisters, Wanda Avritt of Thomasville, AL, Dara Whitney of Melborne, FL and Teresa Lassitter of Selma, AL; twelve grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Heustis Avritt, Sr., and Nell Williamson Avritt.

Per Mr. Avritt’s requests there will be no services held.
