Obituary
Gussie Mae Sanspree Minchew, age 90, born in Repton, AL and a resident of the Gateswood Community died Wednesday, July 19, 2023 at her residence. She was a retired inspector at Mannor Slacks and also worked at South Aluminum and Dental-EZ.
She is survived by her children, James Everette (Mona) Minchew of Gateswood, Silas Arley Minchew of Enterprise, Henry Archie (Lori) Minchew of Lakota, ND, Ralph Eugene Minchew of Gateswood, Peggy Sue Minchew (Ray) Griffith of Cantonment, FL and Carlos R. Lonzie Minchew of Robertsdale, AL and a number of grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Arley Minchew; a daughter, Hazel Virginia Wyman; a grandson, Christopher Eugene Minchew and siblings, George, Buddy, Riley and Richard Sanspree and Lula Ruth Smith.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 22, 2023 at 11:30 a.m. at the chapel of Norris Funeral Home with Reverend Judy Darlene Byrd officiating. Burial will follow at Dean Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Saturday, July 22, 2023 from 10:00 a.m. until the 11:30 a.m. service at Norris Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Terry Minchew, Alan Minchew, Kevin Minchew, Sam George, Michael Minchew and A.J. George.
