Obituary

George Robert “Bob” Joyner, age 82, born in Conecuh County, AL and a resident of Crossroads died Thursday, April 28, 202 at Springhill Medical Center. He retired from the rubber lining and plastic industry. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.

He is survived by his wife, Vivian Juanita Davis Joyner of Crossroads; two brothers, Jesse Joyner and Wayne Joyner and three sisters, Carol Dean Cater, Brenda Sue Chavers and Cindy Morrow.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Clifford Stanley and Lahleen Salter Joyner and two brothers, John Clifford Joyner and Wendall Dale Joyner.

Funeral services will be held Monday, May 2, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Durant Chapel Baptist Church with Reverend Mike Wade officiating. Burial will follow at Crossroads Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Monday, May 2, 2022 from 9:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. service at Durant Chapel Baptist Church.

Pallbearers will be Josh Joyner, Chad Chavers, Shannon Joyner, Nicholas Joyner, Curtis Joyner, Billy Cater and Bryan Cater.
