Gaston James "Jim" Roberts, Jr.

Gaston James “Jim” Roberts, Jr., age 64, a native and resident of Bay Minette, AL died Tuesday, March 17, 2020 at Thomas Hospital. He was a construction manager at Sanders-Hyland Corporation. Jim had many loves in his life. First was family and friends followed close behind by hunting and fishing. He enjoyed spending time outdoors with his friends. His adventures took him from Mexico to Canada and many places in between. Jim was easy to love and everywhere he went he brought back many friendships and lots of tall tales. He touched lives both young and old and in his spare time he would even spend time with his wife Jan.

He is survived by his wife, Jan Boutwell Roberts of Bay Minette, AL; his parents, Gaston and Mildred Roberts of Bay Minette, AL; one brother, Bill (Myra) Roberts of Bay Minette, AL; nephews, Hansen (Sara) Robert and Jamison Roberts and great nieces, Anne-David Roberts and Hayes Frances Roberts.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 21, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. at the chapel of Norris Funeral Home with Dr. Chip Starnes officiating. Burial will follow at Stapleton Community Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Saturday, March 21, 2020 from 11:00 a.m. until the 1:00 p.m. service at Norris Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Justin Justrabo, Chris Strom, Spencer Penn, Robbie Strom, John Cocke and Roger Aubrey. Honorary pallbearers will be Greg Strom, Pat Strom and In Loving Memory, Gordon Nichols.
