Gone But Not Forgotten

Francis Huber Forehand crossed over that bridge into his new life on Sunday, March 21, 2021. He was 86 years old.

He was a faithful Follower of Christ, a loving husband who married his grammar school crush, a devoted father, an adored grandfather and a friend to anyone who needed his help.

He believed in second…. And third…. Chances, that your word was enough, that everyone was capable of having good in them, that good stewardship was not just about money but about caring for ALL God’s creation and using the time God gave him wisely(wisdom), and most importantly that his sins had been forgiven enabling him to go meet his Saviour.

He never met a stranger, he always had a ready smile, (and) was NOT afraid of hard work on his farm, at his rentals or in the community. He was an overall wearing farmer with greasy hands during the week. And a suit wearing servant of God’s family on Sundays.

AMERICA was better off for his Coast Guard service.

AMERICANS benefitted from the Scott toilet paper and paper towels he made sure rolled off the assembly lines at the Mobile paper plant.

His COMMUNITY was strengthened and re-built, literally, through the sweat of his brow and the toiling of his hands.

Through his love of culture Francis exposed his daughters to an unlimited experience of the arts through music and education. Francis was a devoted man to his wife who made sure she was loved and protected and never wanted for anything. With that devotion to family Francis also took care of his parents and an Aunt along with her son until the end.

Francis is survived by his wife, Patsy, of 63 years, 4 daughters: Ruth Forehand, Amy Trawick who is married to Jeffrey Trawick, Lucy Carrillo, and Elizabeth Fortson-Oxford, 7 grandchildren and many precious friends.  He is predeceased by Huber and Frances Forehand, his parents, and many Aunts and Uncles..

A Private Service will be held at the Veterans Memorial Cemetery .  The Rev. Ben Reece and Nathaniel Trawick officiating.

The family requests that donations be made to the following charities in lieu of flowers: Stegall Scholarship Foundation, Arbor Day Foundation, Salvation Army, Shriners.

As you look in awe at the majesty of a forest or the brilliance of a sunrise….. Remember me

When you hear soul stirring music or celebrate new life…. Remember me

My mind is at ease, my soul is at rest.  I pray my friends, that you will ALL be blest.  Be still sad heart and cease repining; behind the clouds the sun is still shining. REMEMBER…..If you always think of me, I am NEVER gone.
