Frances "Fran" (Powell) Turner

Frances “Fran” Powell Turner, age 81, born in Panama City, FL and a resident of Mobile, AL died Tuesday, June 4, 2024 at Springhill Senior Residence. She was affectionally known as “MawMaw” to many. She was a retired insurance agent.

She is survived by her children, Angela (Stan) Peacock of Orange Beach, AL, Michelle Turner of Orange Beach, AL and Bo (Angie Norsworthy) Turner of Stockton, AL; two brothers, Bob Powell of Greenville, AL and Paul Archer of Mobile, AL; grandchildren, Jason (Samantha) Duncan of Stapleton, AL, Jeff (Alicia) Duncan of Daphne, AL, Ryan Chancey of Elberta, AL and Kyle Chancey of Elberta, AL and Tyler Norsworthy of Daphne, AL; great grandchildren, Jackson Duncan, Jillian Duncan and Madelyn Duncan and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

She was preceded in death her father, James Hilton Powell; her mother and stepfather, Frances Voncile and Paul Archer and two sisters-in-law, Sherry Powell and Sherry Archer.

Graveside services and burial will be held Tuesday, June 11, 2024 at 1:30 p.m. at Spring Hill Memorial Gardens in Mobile with Chaplain Michael Elliott officiating.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, June 11, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at Norris Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Jason Duncan, Jeff Duncan, Ryan Chancey, Kyle Chancey, Jackson Duncan and Tyler Ayres.

The family would like to say a special thank you to staff at Springhill Senior Residence and the staff of Gentiva Hospice for the loving care given to our mother.
