Floria Ethell (Smith) Goram

Floria Ethell Smith Goram, age 91, born in Georgiana, AL to Burt Oliver and Mary Lee Digmon Smith and a resident of Stapleton, AL passed away peacefully surrounded by her family Sunday, January 5, 2025. She was a homemaker. Ethell’s primary interests always revolved around her family. Whether it was spending time with her grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great granddaughters or going on trips to the Smokey mountains with her daughters. The holidays were a favorite for her because she loved the family being together and going to see the Christmas lights. She also loved watching the Atlanta Braves and Alabama football. But most of all, she loved people. Her friends, family and even acquaintances knew exactly where they stood with her because she spoke her mind and loved so freely. Her smile was infectious and no one could make a better biscuit.

She is survived by her children, Margaret Ann (Bob) Fleming of Stapleton, AL and Patricia Gaye (Eddie) Pitts of Stapleton, AL; grandchildren, Michael Lynn (Lisa) Fredrickson, Cheri Denise (Carl) Griffith, Angela Marie (Mitchell) Williams, Jarrod Keith (Courtney) Mitchum, Robert Daniel (Ana) Fleming, Joseph Andrew (Carey) Fleming and Ansley Kay Pitts; great grandchildren, Katlyn (Joe) Rhodes, Colby Williams, Trevor Murphy, Alyssa Williams, Jacob Murphy, Victoria (Jackson) Kolb, Cory (Sabrina) Rayborn, Wyatt Fleming, Kolson Fleming, Peyton Fleming and Loxley Pitts and great great grandchildren, Mia Rhodes, Emma Rhodes and Ellie Rayborn.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Rothell Harvey Goram and James Ardis Goram; sisters, Lois Callaway and Icie Goodman; brother, Obie Salter and son-in-law, Kerry Mitchum.

Graveside services and burial will be held Tuesday, January 7, 2025 at 2:30 p.m. at Stapleton Community Cemetery with Reverend George Weaver officiating.
