Filandra Lorene “FL” Batley Thompson, age 89, born in Frankville, AL and a resident of Stapleton, AL died Tuesday, April 15, 2025 at her residence. She was a homemaker.

She is survived her children, by Norman “PeeWee” (Diane) Thompson of Pine Grove, Donna (Tim) Barac of Phillipsville and Kathie Moore of Stapleton, AL; grandchildren, Chirstopher Thompson, David Thompson, Thumper (Gina) Thompson, Kristen Thompson, Wade Thompson, Jr., Timmy Barac, Ashley (Dennis) Martin and Amber (Chase) Draper; great grandchildren, Emiley Rider, Macie Thompson and Karleigh Barac; great great grandchildren, Ethan Rider and Josie Rider; nieces, Sharon Phillips of Jackson, AL and Betsy Gorum of Mobile, AL and close family friends James Lyons of Bay Minette, AL.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Norman Thompson, Sr; a son, Wade Thompson, Sr.; a sister, Isabelle Walker; a grandson, Mikie Thompson; her mother, Lola Richardson Batley and her father and stepmother, Frank and Armetta Batley.

Graveside services and burial will be held Friday, April 18, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Pine Grove Cemetery with Reverend Mark Daniel officiating.
