Fabian Stacey

Fabian Stacey, age 71, a resident of the Rabun Community passed away peacefully surround by his loved ones on Monday, February 12, 2024. He was born April 9, 1952 to Lonnie and Clinie Wainwright Stacey. He was a Tug Boat deck hand.

He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Lucille Smith Stacey of Rabun; his children, Cynthia (Kevin) Gilliam of Perdido, AL and Misti (Marcus) Dean of Rabun; one brother, Fred (Vickie) Stacey of Rabun; six grandchildren, Nancy Dean, Samantha (Cameron) Cooley, Mary Dean, Nathan (Cheyenne) Gilliam, Rebecca Dean and Josey Dean and one great grandchild, Gatlynn Cooley.

He was preceded in death by a grandson, Tommie Gilliam; brothers, Fate, Farrell and Filmer Stacey and sisters, Faye Stacey Luker, Flossie Stacey, Fern Stacey Gill and Fredia Stacey Johnston.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 15, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. at the New Providence Baptist Church with Reverend Bubba Rollin officiating. Burial will follow at Dean Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, February 14, 2024 from 6:00 p.m. until service time at New Providence Baptist Church.

Pallbearers will be Nathan Gilliam, Will Stacey, Greg Barber, Lee Williamson, Cameron Cooley and Larry Amos. Honorary pallbearer will be Michael Stewart.
