Evelyn Inez (Barkley) Norris

Evelyn Inez Barkley Norris, age 86, born in Octagon, AL and a resident of Bay Minette, AL died Monday, April 12, 2021 at her residence. She was the former owner and operator of Flowers By Evelyn.

She is survived by her children, Debbie Gee of Bay Minette, AL, Stewart (Vicky) Norris of Stockton, AL and Sherlene Anderson of Bay Minette, AL; two sisters, Clarice Reed of Thomasville, AL and Jean Dunn of Montgomery, AL; five grandchildren, Jeremy (Jen) Galloway, Angie (Bo Turner) Norsworthy, Joey (Nikki) Norris, Jessica Anderson and Aaron Anderson and nine great grandchildren, Tyler Norsworthy, Braxton Galloway, Jonathan Norris, John Grady Galloway, Blakeley Norris, Jameson Norris, Meg Galloway, Paul Norris and Clary Norris.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, David M. Norris; a granddaughter, April Galloway; a grandson, Jason Norris; son-in-law, Michael Anderson and her siblings, Eddie Lee “Bubba” Barkley, Allen Barkley, Brooks Barkley, Phillip Barkley, Ethel “Sis” Gunter and Louise Etheridge.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 15, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at the chapel of Norris Funeral Home with Dr. Henry Cox officiating. Burial will follow at Bay Minette Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Thursday, April 15, 2021 from 9:30 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. service at Norris Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Terry Goins, Bo Turner, Aaron Anderson, Jessie Anderson, Blakley Norris, Tyler Norsworthy, Jonathan Norris and Joey Norris.
