Eugenia Teter Trawick, age 87, was welcomed to her Heavenly home on Friday, February 21, 2025. She died at her earthly home surrounded by her loving family.
Eugenia was born in Atmore, AL on March 2, 1937 to Docia and Paul Teter. Shortly afterwards she moved to Bay Minette where she attended school, graduating in 1955.
She was married to Walter Phillip “Sonny” Trawick. Together they had two children Bruce and Trent. At the same time she was raising her children she was also working in banking and participating in community service by serving as member and officer in several organizations such as Rotary Club, International Women’s Business and Heritage Jr. Women’s Organization.
In the early 60’s, Eugenia began working for the First National Bank which became First Alabama Bank and ultimately Regions Bank. During her tenure with the bank she worked as a bookkeeper, later in the Note Department, as a Loan Officer and ultimately as Branch Manager. At the same time Eugenia was an active member of the First Methodist Church of Bay Minette. Through the years she served as Financial Secretary, sang in the choir, served as a member/ officer in the Methodist Women’s Guild and was a member of Circle 2. She also taught in the Sunday School and was always available to serve in whatever capacity was needed. She always sought to serve her church and her Savior.
She is survived by her two sons, Bruce (Ramona) Trawick of Bay Minette, AL and Trent (Brenda) Trawick of Foley, AL; one sister, Kitty Walker of Bay Minette, AL; her grandchildren, Brandy Trawick, Sandie Beasley, Brittain Trawick and Christian Trawick and her great grandchildren, Nick Sanspree, Cole Sanspree, Brett Trawick, Hayden Trawick, Fisher Trawick and Jackson Trawick
She was preceded in death by her husband, Sonny Trawick and by her parents, Paul and Docia Owens Teter.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, February 25, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at the First Methodist Church with Reverend Don Hutchinson officiating. Burial will follow at Bay Minette Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, February 25, 2025 from 10:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. service at the First Methodist Church.
