Eugene Gilbert Reed, Jr.

Eugene Gilbert Reed, Jr., age 87, born in Norristown, PA and a resident of Fairhope, AL died Saturday, January 27, 2024 at William F. Green State Veterans Home. He was a retired jet engine mechanic at Allied Signal. He was also a veteran of the U.S. Air Force.

He is survived by his children, Victoria (John) Almy of Sutter, CA, Ralph Reed of Anaheim, CA, Darryl (Jennifer) Reed of Riverside, CA, Annette (Robert) George of Fairhope, AL and Kelly (Steve) Orsinelli of Apple Valley, CA; one sister, Beverly of Gervais; nine grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Sarah Ann Jackson Reed and two brothers, Jack Reed and George Reed.

Services will be held Friday, May 10, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. at the Alabama State Veterans Cemetery in Spanish Fort.
