Etta Fay (Giles) Powell

Etta Fay Giles Powell, age 88, born in Brewton, AL and a resident of the Pine Grove Community died Tuesday, May 2, 2023 at Atmore Nursing Home. She was a homemaker.

She is survived by two sons, Edward Wayne (Karen) Powell of Conway, SC and Troy Eugene (Elaine) Powell of Elba, AL; one daughter, Patricia Elaine Powell (Danny) Rieben of Louisville, AL; seven brothers, Ray Edward Giles of Troy, AL, George Raymond Giles of Tuscaloosa, AL, Roy Henton Giles of Tuscaloosa, AL, Ronnie Gerald Giles of Summerdale, AL, Roger Lamar Giles of Eufaula, AL, Rufus Lee Giles of Union Springs, AL and Ralph Leon Giles of Foley, AL; seven grandchildren, Brent Powell, Mandy Anderson, Elizabeth Mathews, Steven Powell, Rachel Metcalf, Michelle Sasser and Kendal York and twenty-five great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Hollis Norman Powell and a sister, Sadie Louise Giles Perkins.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 4, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at Bay Assembly of God Church with Reverend Steve Pettis and Reverend Chester Clark officiating. Burial will follow at Jubilee Memorial Gardens in Daphne at 11:30 a.m.

The family will receive friends Thursday, May 4, 2023 from 9:00 a.m. until the 10:00 a.m. service at Bay Assembly of God Church.
