Ernest Ralph Cooley

Ernest Ralph Cooley, age 79, born in Iowa City, IA and a resident of Magnolia Springs, AL died Saturday, October 18, 2025 at Baldwin Health in Foley. He retired from the Alabama State Port Authority where he worked in maintenance. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy having served during Vietnam.

He is survived by his children, Tommy (Chantell) Cooley of Elberta, AL and Brenda (Lane) Vick of Magnolia Springs, AL; three sisters, Robin, Janie and Beverly; grandchildren, Jared McGee, Heather Quinn, Jessica Kristie, Hayden McGee, Brooke Noles and Dylan Cooley; numerous great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Carol Perkins Cooley; a daughter, Chris Yarbrough; two sons, Royce McGee and David McGee and his parents, Wilford Ralph and Vera Gatrelle Cooley.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 21, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. at the chapel of Norris Funeral Home with Chantell Cooley officiating. Burial will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Hayden McGee, Dillon Cooley, Cary Quinn, Jaxon Quinn, Patrick Kristie and Brian Roberts.
