Edith Annette Parker, age 87, born in Andalusia, AL and a resident of Bay Minette, AL died Tuesday, January 21, 2025 at Atmore Nursing Home. She was a retired secretary for the State of Alabama Board of Pardons and Parole.
She was a member of Stockton First Baptist Church, a loving mother and was devoted to her family. She loved to cook and was one of the best cooks around. She will be missed by her family and friends but always remembered fondly.
She is survived by two sons, Tony Monroe (Miriam) Parker of Stockton, AL and Jason Todd (Julie) Parker of Deridder, LA; two brothers, Jerry Daughtry and Larry (Joy) Daughtry; one sister, Shirley Hodge; four grandchildren, Brandi (Jaylan) Boyington, T.J. (Jessie) Parker, Dustin (Hannah) Smith and Torrie (Jonathan) Nagem and eleven great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Monroe Parker.
Funeral services will be held Monday, January 27, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at the chapel of Norris Funeral Home with Reverend Otis Thames officiating. Burial will follow at Stockton Memorial Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Monday, January 27, 2025 from 10:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. service at Norris Funeral Home.
