Douglas Ray Hicks, Sr.

Douglas Ray Hicks, Sr., age 81, born in Goodway, AL and a resident of Stockton, AL died Wednesday, February 7, 2024 at Thomas Hospital. He was the owner and president of Bay Minette Building Supply. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served during the Cuban Missile Crisis.

He is survived by his wife, Rebecca Lynn Bell Hicks of Stockton, AL; his children, Douglas R. (Kristen) Hicks of Bay Minette, AL, Natalie L. (Harry) Wilson of Stockton, AL and Amy Hicks Johnson of Bay Minette, AL; on brother, Billy (Mary) Hicks of Pennsylvania; four grandchildren, Easton Johnson, Brittany (Dalton) Lister, Alexa Hicks and Caden Hicks and one great grandson, Casey Lister.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, February 11, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at the chapel of Norris Funeral Home with Reverend Danny Rieben officiating. Burial will follow at Bay Minette Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Sunday, February 11, 2024 from 1:00 p.m. until the 2:00 p.m. service at Norris Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Doug Hicks, Jr., Harry Wilson, Dalton Lister, Billy Hicks, Easton Johnson and Adam Balli.

Although the family will accept flowers, they suggest memorial contributions be made to the North Baldwin Animal Shelter, P.O. Box 190, Bay Minette, AL 36507.
