Dorothy (Gideons) Harris

Dorothy Gideons Harris, age 96, a native and resident of the Pine Grove Community of Bay Minette, AL died Tuesday, November 5, 2024 at her residence. She was a retired supervisor at Mannor Slacks.

She is survived by her grandchildren, Amy (Keith) Graham of Daphne, AL, Jenny Price of Bay Minette, AL and Sarah Jerkins of Bay Minette, AL; one brother, Randy (Kyle) Gideons of Pine Grove; one sister, Eleanor Brandin of New Orleans, LA; six great grandchildren, Haven Graham, Andrew Price, Adam Price, Avery Price, Anna Price and Rowyn Jaye and six great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry E. Harris; a daughter, Beverly Sue Jerkins; a brother, Eugene Gideons and a sister, Octavia Long.

Funeral services will be held Friday, November 8, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. at the Pine Grove Baptist Church with Reverend Mike Bedford officiating. Burial will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Friday, November 8, 2024 from 11:00 a.m. until the 1:00 p.m. service at Pine Grove Baptist Church.

Pallbearers will be Adam Price, Edmon Jerkins, Mike Hughes, Gary Rountree, Gerald Malone and Sam Childress.

In lieu of flowers they family requests memorial contributions be made to Pine Grove Baptist Church, 42240 Pine Grove Road, Bay Minette, AL 36507.
