Donna Elaine (Pruett) Godwin

Donna Elaine Pruett Godwin, age 65, born in Foley, AL and a resident of Bay Minette, AL died Monday, July 13, 2026 at North Baldwin Infirmary. She was a registered nurse at Mobile Infirmary.

She is survived by her children, Courtney Aleece (Chuck Stallworth) Godwin of Pensacola, FL, Daniel Wesley (Cassy) Godwin of Daphne, AL and Candace Godwin (Chris Reed) Milstead of Bay Minette, AL; two grandchildren, Mason Wesley Milstead of Bay Minette, AL and Oliver Michael Godwin of Daphne, AL; the father of their three children, Russell Godwin of Bay Minette, AL; three sisters, Samantha (Jay) Homan of Bay Minette, AL, Dana (Chester) Brown of Spanish Fort, AL and Shelley Kilcrease of Saraland, AL; one aunt, Betty Ann (John) King and two uncles, Mike (Lynn) Gibbs and Shane Gibbs.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Dan Eddins and Sandra Alice Gibbs Pruett; a grandson, Alexander Wesley Godwin and her beloved pet, Pearl.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 18, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church in Bay Minette with Reverend Jason Hughes officiating. Burial will follow at Bay Minette Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Saturday, July 18, 2026 from 11:00 a.m. until the 1:00 p.m. service at the First Presbyterian Church.

Pallbearers will be Chis Reed, Chuck Stallworth, Keegan Homan, Taylor Brown, Michael Walker and Jeff Hembree. Honorary pallbearers will her friends of Cypress Trace Apartments.

Although the family will accept flowers they suggest memorial contributions be made to the North Baldwin Animal Shelter, P.O. Box 190, Bay Minette, AL 36507.
