Darrell Gene Arnette, age 86, who was lifetime resident of Perdido, AL went to his heavenly home on Friday, August 5, 2022 surrounded by loved ones in his home. He was a retired construction superintendent whose skilled hands built much of Baldwin County and Mobile County.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 68 years, Opal Arnette; three devoted sons, Russell (Susan) Arnette, Greg (Laura) Arnette and Darren (Laurie) Arnette all of Perdido, AL; seven caring grandchildren, Kerri (Eric) Mann of Spanish Fort, AL, Kristen (Clint) Corley of Daphne, AL, Candice (Matt) Goins of Daphne, AL, Matthew Arnette, Adam Arnette, Austin Arnette and Nicholas Arnette all of Perdido, AL; six lively great grandchildren; one sister and two nieces.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Leroy and Ethel Bell Arnette.
Graveside services and burial will be held Tuesday, August 9, 2022 at 1:30 p.m. at Perdido Baptist Cemetery with Kaliey Beth Smith officiating.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, August 9, 2022 from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Norris Funeral Home.
The Arnette family appreciates the overflowing love, support and prayers they have received from family and friends. They would like to express a special thank you to the individuals at Community Hospice for their loving care and guidance.
