Dannie Joe Palmer

Dannie Joe Palmer, age 71, born in Chatom, AL and a resident of Theodore, AL died Wednesday, August 6, 2025. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corp having served during Vietnam.

He is survived by his children, Rebecca Sue Palmer (Charlie) Ganey of White House Fork and Timothy Steven Palmer of Bay Minette, AL; four brothers, Willie Paul Palmer of Chatom, AL, Kenneth Palmer of Chatom, AL, Stanley Palmer of Fruitdale, AL and Joseph Palmer of Theodore, AL; four sisters, Glenda Blackmon of Bay Minette, AL, Sharon Sikes of Chatom, AL, Sherri Lynn Dees of Chatom, AL and Tonya Mosley of Stapleton, AL; eight grandchildren, Kimberley Correa, Samantha Johnson, Chaz Ganey, Chandler Ganey, Bailey Mae Lipinsky, Mya Jade Palmer, Skylar Palmer and Tucker Palmer; four great grandchildren, Nicholas Correa, Scarlett Johnson, Joseph Lipinsky and Lily Mae Lipinsky and a number of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Donna Lee Carpenter Palmer; his parents, Willie Roscoe and Peraline West Palmer; siblings, Sandra Lanelle Beech, Ronald Wade Palmer, Charles Palmer and Wilson Palmer.

A memorial committal service will be held Monday, August 18, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at the Alabama State Veterans Cemetery with Reverend Gerald Beech officiating. 

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the William F. Green State Veterans Home, 300 Faulkner Drive, Bay Minette, AL 36507.
