Dalton McNeal Smith, age 92, a native and resident of the White House Fork Community died Thursday, January 22, 2026 at his residence. He was a retired right away negotiator for the State of Alabama.
He is survived one son, Jackie (Connie) Smith of Spanish Fort, AL; one daughter, Kay (Ray) Bishop of Silverhill, AL; grandchildren, Whitney (Jared) Cruthird, Anthony (Jackie) Bishop, Brandy (Justin) Byrne, Haven (Clinton) Riley, Trevor (Belle) Phillips and Matthew Phillips and a number of great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 72 years, Roberta Hadley Smith; his parents, Walter S. and Ella Lee White Smith and his siblings, Agnes Rider, Marjorie Rider, Walter Lee Smith and Billy Gene Smith.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 27, 2026 at 12;00 p.m. at the White House Fork Pentecostal Holiness Church with Reverend Clark Beiler and Reverend J.P. Lambert officiating. Burial will follow at White Cemetery in White House Fork.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, January 27, 2026 from 10:00 a.m. until the 12:00 p.m. service at White House Fork Pentecostal Holiness Church.
Pallbearers will be Kevin Boyington, Anthony Boyington, Dennis Tyree, Jerry Donald, Lionel Rider and Ray Donald.
