Curtis Boyington Obituary

Curtis Hendon Boyington, age 93, born in Bay Minette, AL and a resident of Stapleton, AL died Monday, January 16, 2023 at North Baldwin Infirmary. He was a retired welder. He was also a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corp having serviced during Korea.

He is survived by one son, Steve Lamar Boyington; two sisters, Ann Kusion and Jewel Boyington; grandchildren, Andrew Neal Lowery, Jr., Clinton Andrew Lowery, Crystal Lowery Shadis, Matthew Curtis Boyington, Brandon Joseph Miller, Alex Michael Miller Arynn Ashley Boyington and Lindsay Gayle Boyington and great grandchildren Henry Lee Mullen, IV, Anthony William Shadis, Hunter Andrew Lowery, Chandler Matthew Boyington, Morgan Jace Boyington, Eylah Lee Courtney and Lolah Stevee Courtney. 

He was preceded in death by his wife, Georgia May Boyington; two sons, Andrew Neal Lowery, Sr. (Janice) and Stanley Underwood Lowery; one daughter, Debra Sue Miller; his parents, Johnny Everette and Nancy Margaret Chandler Boyington; and siblings, Lucille Boyington Adams, Herman Boyington, Audrey Voncile Boyington Menning, Sherman Boyington, Vernon Victor Boyington, Edward Earl Boyington, James Jerry Boyington and Dorothy Elizabeth Boyington Palmer.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 21, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at Stapleton Baptist Church with Reverend Allan Lawhorn officiating. Burial will follow at Stapleton Community Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Saturday, January 21, 2023 from 1:30 p.m. until the 2:00 p.m. service at Stapleton Baptist Church.

Pallbearers will be Steve Lamar Boyington, Matthew Curtis Boyington, Jonathan Peter Shadis, Clint Andrew Lowery, Henry Lee Mullen, IV and Alex Michael Miller.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made to ABBA Shrine, 7701 Hitt Road, Mobile, AL 36695.
