Clyde Wayne Scott, age 66, born in Marietta, GA and a resident of Bay Minette, AL died Saturday, September 6, 2025 at North Baldwin Infirmary. A faithful member of Lakewood Church and a Master Electrician with the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 613 in Atlanta, Georgia, Clyde was deeply admired for his professional expertise and commitment to his craft.
Clyde was known for his smart business acumen, particularly in the realms of real estate and heavy equipment. His passion for buying and selling property was matched by his enthusiasm for unearthing Indian artifacts, a hobby he cherished sharing with his son, Brandon.
An active Freemason since 1986 at Oakdale Lodge #736 in Smyrna, Georgia, Clyde's contributions to his community and lodge were profound and heartfelt. His dedication extended into his personal life as a loving and proud husband, father, and Papaw. Clyde's joy was evident on the sidelines of sports fields where he coached and supported all of Brandon’s little league teams, demonstrating his commitment to his family and community.
Clyde also found joy and camaraderie in the Harley Owners Group, where he had been a member since 1994, sharing many rides and memories with fellow enthusiasts.
He is survived by his wife, Martha Ann Rider Scott of Bay Minette, AL; one son, Brandon Wayne (Janie) Scott of Bay Minette, AL; his mother, Frankie Corine Haines Scott of Marietta, GA; siblings, Elizabeth “Liz” (Joe) McCoy of Marietta, GA and Ted (Fortune) Scott of Marietta, GA and one granddaughter, Marianna Scott of Bay Minette, AL.
He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Henry Wayne Scott.
