Clearthur Lee

Clearthur Lee, age 87, born in Autauga County, AL and a resident of Mobile, AL died Thursday, May 16, 2024 at William F. Green Veterans Home. He retired from the U.S. Navy having served during Vietnam.

He is survived by his wife, Bettie Jean Patterson Lee of Pensacola, FL; his children, Emmanuel “Greg” Lee, Sr. of Phoenix, AZ, Emery Barfield of Germantown, MD, Renee Barfield of Mobile, AL Cleathur (Artie) Lee, Jr. of Las Vegas, NV, Cheryl Robinson of Phoenix, AZ and Danette (Dede) Cox of Chandler, AZ, and; siblings, Frank Motley of Saginaw, MI, Kenneth Motley of Saginaw, MI, Clarissa England of Saginaw, MI, Valarie Petterson of Dallas, TX and Vincent Motley of Saginaw, MI; eight grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.

He was preceded in death by two children, Denise Chappelle and Clearthur Lee, III and siblings, Oscar Motley, Anthony Motley, Gary Motley, Bobby Lee, Clarence Lee and Delores Lee

A graveside memorial service will be held Friday, June 14, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at the Alabama State Veterans Cemetery with Reverend Michael Hadley officiating.
