Claresse (Lindsey) Foster

Claresse Lindsey Foster, age 78, born in Atmore, AL and a resident of Rabun, died Saturday, June 20, 2020 at her residence. She was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, Aubrey Eugene Foster of Rabun; her children. C.L. (Deanne) Foster of North, SC, Theresa Nickerson of Rabun, Donna Nickerson (James Reed) Vinson of Bay Minette, AL, Ethel (Windell) Hadley of Perdido, AL and Tanya Nickerson (James) Bentley of Foley, AL; four sisters, Robbie Cook of Bay Minette, AL, Frances Harrelson of Canoe, AL, Earlene Lindsey of Mobile, AL and Faye Stewart of Rabun; twelve grandchildren, J.R., Waylon, Andrew, Kayla, Kenae, Audrey, Robby, Austin, Mary, Daniele, Nicholas and Rachael and ten great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James “Pete” and Voncile Stewart Lindsey; a daughter, Becky Nickerson; three brothers, Ray Lindsey, James Arnold Lindsey and Wallace Stewart and three sisters, Elizabeth Lindsey, Lillian Stewart and Tump Hadley.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 23, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at the chapel of Norris Funeral Home with Reverend Windell Hadley officiating. Burial will follow at Dean Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Monday, June 22, 2020 from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Norris Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be J.R. Gardner, Waylon Vinson, Andrew Hadley, Nicholas Hadley, Robby Turberville and Austin Turberville. Honorary pallbearers will be James Reed and Allen Tyree.
