Clarence Eugene "Gene Doc" Munn, Jr.

Clarence Eugene “Gene Doc” Munn Jr., age 74, born in Stapleton, AL and a resident of Bay Minette, AL died Friday, March 29, 2024 at his residence. He worked 39 years with Flowerwood Nursery in Loxley. Gene enjoyed working around the farm and going to Tack and Horse sales with friends.

He is survived by three sisters, Pat M. (Frank) Scott of Prattville, AL, Carolyn Munn and Janice Munn both of Bay Minette, AL; one niece, Jan (Andy) Shadis; two nephews, Mike (Pam) McCreary and John (Monica) McCreary; several great nieces and nephews and special friends Randall, Randy and Jody Hastings and Lois Kimmons.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Alcie Woodruff Munn; sister, Judy Munn and sister and brother-in-law, Faye and Joe McCreary.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 3, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. at the chapel of Norris Funeral Home with Reverend Mike Blair officiating. Burial will follow at Liberty Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, April 3, 2024 from 11:30 a.m. until the 1:00 p.m. service at Norris Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Randall Hastings, Randy Hastings, Jody Hastings, Andy Shadis, Mike McCreary and Frank Scott. Alternate pallbearers will be Alan Williams.

The family would like to thank Gentiva Hospice for the help and care of Gene.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made to St. Jude’s Children Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
