Claire Howze Brame Jackson, age 78, born in Selma, AL and a resident of Bay Minette, AL died Monday, October 4, 2021 at Robertsdale Health Care. She was a retired office manager. She was a longtime member of Immanuel Episcopal Church in Bay Minette where she served on The Women of the Church, the Vestry and the Altar Guild. She also participated in Choir and Handbell Choir. Claire was a 59 year member of the Zachariah Godbold Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) and had served as Chapter Regent and Chapter Librarian as well as chaired the Motion Picture, Radio and Television and DAR Schools Committees.
She is survived by her husband, Floyd Jackson of Bay Minette, AL; her children, Stephen (Audrey) Jackson of Monroeville, AL, Matthew (Julie) Jackson of Spotsylvania, VA and Rebecca Jackson (Joshua) Hoops of Sparta, NJ; siblings, Percy “Oppie” Bryant, Jr. of Stockton, AL., Elizabeth Bryant of Montgomery, AL, Diane Brame Cronin of Dundee, NY, Wyly Brame, Jr. of Montour Falls, NY and John Brame of Watkins Glen, NY and grandchildren, Joshua, Jonathan, Joseph, Jacob, Madison, Kellen and Brennan.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Wyly Brame and Claire Kimbrough Bryant.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, November 6, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at the Immanuel Episcopal Church with Michael Ballard officiating.
