Cheryl L (Stewart) Grimes

Cheryl L. Grimes, age 55, born in Atmore, AL and a resident of Elberta, AL died Friday, November 22, 2019 at Thomas Hospital. She was a bookkeeper at West Lowndes High School.

She is survived by her husband, Bruce Grimes; two sons, Justin Grimes and Josh (Shelby) Grimes; her mother, Hazel LaPierre; stepmother, Emogene Stewart and many loving aunts, uncles and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her father, Clifford Stewart and stepfather, Frank LaPierre.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, November 24, 2019 at 3:30 p.m. at Stapleton Baptist Church with Reverend Randy Byrd and Reverend Allan Lawhorn officiating. Burial will follow at Stapleton Community Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Sunday, November 24, 2019 from 2:00 p.m. until the 3:30 p.m. service at Stapleton Baptist Church.

Pallbearers will be Randy Grimes, Logan Grimes, Keith Grimes, Colton Grimes, Jarrod Mitchum and Steve Pate. Honorary pallbearers will be Drew Wilkerson, Shane Foster, Tronox Maintenance Employees, Al Weigt, John Laws Ferguson, Glenn Akins, Aaron Studdard, Matthew Morrison, David Hardy and Kell Sneed.
