Charles Edward "Chuck" Kernells, III

Charles Edward “Chuck” Kernells, III, age 40, born in Mobile, AL and a resident of Bay Minette, AL died Friday, September 25, 2020. He was employed by Flowerwood Nursery. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served during the Global War on Terrorism.

He is survived by his twins, Tanner Jack Kernells of Stockton, AL and Taylor Rose Kernells of Stockton and Cali Breeze Kernells of Bay Minette, AL; his parents, Cathy Lynn Peterson of Bay Minette, AL and Charles Edward (Kathy Lanette) Kernells of Stockton, AL; one brother, Brandon (Candace) Kernells of Bay Minette, AL; stepbrother,  Timothy (Myca) Brooks of Bay Minette, AL;  stepsister, Amber Crenshaw Lacoste of Stockton, AL; his companion and mother of Cali, Kayla Homan of Bay Minette, AL; grandmother, Philena Waters “Doll” Peterson of Bay Minette, AL and two nephews, Christian Lee Kernells and Blakeley Landon Kernells both of Fayetteville, NC

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Henry Elmer Peterson, Jr., Geraldine Kernells and Charles Kernells, Sr. and two uncles, Byron Kernells and Don Peterson.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 3, 2020 at 12:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church with Dr. Henry Cox and Dr. Chip Starnes officiating. Burial will follow at Hamilton Baptist Cemetery in Gateswood.

The family will receive friends Saturday, October 3, 2020 from 10:00 a.m. until the 12:00 p.m. service at First Baptist Church.

Pallbearers will be Daniel Bryars, John Mark Byrne, Patrick Snyder, David Horton, Avery Hamilton and Christian Kernells. Honorary pallbearers will be Michael Smith, Blakeley Kernells, Jeffery Henry and Daniel Arnold.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made to Hamilton Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 32815 County Road 112, Robertsdale, AL 36567 or the First Baptist Church Benevolent Fund, P.O. Box 1628, Bay Minette, AL 36507.
