Charles Wayne Hand

Charles left his Earthly home in Bay Minette, Alabama on   August 25, 2021. Waiting for him at Heaven’s Door was his Mother, Fannie Grace Jones Hand, his Father, James Horman Hand, and Mother-in-Law Eunice Hardy.

Charles will be missed, but his life legacy will live on. He was loved and cared for by His wife, Wanda Mae Hand, daughter, Jessica Leigh Williams (Preston), daughter, Tracey Lynn Coleman (Jason), and his pride and joy Trey Nolan Hadley, grandson and Alexander Keith Williams, grandson. Charles leaves behind a brother, Jimmy Hand (Lynda), and Special cousins, Sara Hand Lowrey (Marlin) and Kathy Rigdon Go Forth.  Sisters -in-Law Agnes Easley and Kay Franco.

Charles received his education at Mississippi State University having earned his Master’s Degree in Education. He lived and taught for 21 years in East Mississippi. Alabama, and Georgia. During his career of teaching, he was Principal at Neshoba Central and Yazoo County for 15 years.  Charles also served 15 years as Superintendent of Education in Newton County Mississippi. He was a member of National and State Vocation Association and National FFA Alumni.

August 1999 Charles moved to Baldwin County and met his wife, Wanda Mae.  They were married March 4, 2000.  As a result of their union; he gained his daughters and those “BOYS” that he loved so.

Service will be held at Norris Funeral Home Chapel with Rev.  Jim Gates officiating.  Family will receive visitors on Saturday August 28, 2021 at 9:00 a.m. and service to follow at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow at the Bay Minette Cemetery.

Active Pallbearers: Jason Coleman, Mike Bowie, Mickey Franco, Albert Bishop, Justin Lowery, and Jordan Lowery. Honorary Pallbearers:  Marcus Savell, Frank McCurdy, Johnny Hinote,  and Tyler Mann.
