Charles Shadrack Dewberry

Charles Shadrack Dewberry, age 90, born in Castleberry, AL and a resident of Bay Minette, AL died Saturday, April 15, 2023 at Oakwood Nursing Home. He was the owner of Bay Lumber. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served during Korea.

He is survived by his children, DeWayne (Terri) Dewberry of Bay Minette, AL, Robert (Angela) Dewberry of Bay Minette, AL and Scott (Marcia) Dewberry of Daphne, AL; two brothers, Randy (Gail) Dewberry of Brewton, AL and Jerry (Vivian) Dewberry of Mexia, AL; one sister, Shirley Rutkowski of Woodbury, MN; grandchildren, Chuck Duckworth, Clint Duckworth, Crystal Duckworth, Bobby Dewberry, Matt Dewberry, Mark Dewberry, Zoee Dewberry, Zach Ganey, Joseph Ganey, Cody White and Kevin White and eighteen great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Ella Mae Dewberry; a daughter, Mary Thompson Duckworth and brothers, Ronald, Shelton and Lloyd Dewberry.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 22, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at the chapel of Norris Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Bay Minette Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Saturday, April 22, 2023 from 12:00 p.m. until the 2:00 p.m. service at Norris Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Bobby Dewberry, Matt Dewberry, Mark Dewberry, Steve Dewberry, Kevin Dewberry and Michael Dewberry.

Although the family will accept flowers, they suggest memorial contributions be made to the Disabled American Veterans (DAV).
