Catherine (Smith) Snider

Catherine Smith Snider, age 90, born in Monroe County, AL and a resident of Stapleton, AL died Monday, April 7, 2025 at her residence. She was a homemaker.

She is survived by three sons, Keith (Brenda) Grimes of Stapleton, AL, Bruce Grimes of Elberta, AL and Randy Grimes of Stapleton, AL; eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Snider; a sister, Faye Griffin and four brothers, Willie Smith, Ray Smith, Clinton Smith and Robert Smith.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 10, 2025 at 4:00 p.m. at the Stapleton Baptist Church with Reverend Alan Lawhorn officiating. Burial will follow at the Stapleton Community Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Thursday, April 10, 2025 from 2:00 p.m. until the 4:00 p.m. service at Stapleton Baptist Church.

Pallbearers will be Jarod Mitchem, Justin Grimes, Josh Grimes, Logan Grimes, Colton Grimes and Jacob Grimes. Alternate pallbearer will be Drew Wilkerson.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society or to the American Heart Association.
