Carl Everet Stewart, age 79, a native and resident of Bay Minette, AL died Friday, May 23, 2025 at his residence. He was the owner and operator of Stewart Farms and S&S Sand and Gravel. Carl was a graduate of Auburn University where he earned a bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Engineering. He was a founding member of the Farm House Fraternity at Auburn. He grew the best vegetables in the world. He was a dedicated member of Crossroads Church of God where he served on the Pastor’s Council for over 20 years.
He is survived by his wife, Miriam Hodges Stewart of Bay Minette, AL; two daughters, Ashley (Randy) Goins of Bay Minette, AL and Alicia (John) Cichon of Gulf Breeze, FL; five grandsons, Ryan Goins, Joshua Cichon, Matthew Cichon, Eyan Gregson and Ridgely Gregson; one great grandson, Kayden Goins; one brother, Felton (Juanetta) Stewart of Ovett, MS; one sister, Rochelle White of Bay Minette, AL and two sisters-in-law, Eloise Stewart and Ruby Stewart both of Bay Minette, AL.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ransom and Millie Schrock Stewart; one sister, Evie Carson and two brothers, Jasper Stewart and Elwood “Bub” Stewart, and one brother-in-law, W.J. White.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 27, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at the Crossroads Church of God with Reverend Richie Nobles and Reverend Ronald Hodges officiating. Burial will follow at the Crossroads Church of God Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Monday, May 26, 2025 from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Crossroads Church of God.
Pallbearers will be Randy Dobbins, Jessie Peacock, Ronnie Hodges, Dale Mixon, David Buck, and Roger Harville. Honorary pallbearers will be Charles Richerson, Keith Smith, and Ronnie Richerson.
The family would like to express a special thank you to Tabitha Johnson Geck with Springhill Hospice, and sister-in-law, Darla Hodges.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the Crossroads Church of God Youth Building Fund, 10777 County Road 138, Bay Minette, AL 36507.
